Today, U.S. Senator Scott Brown (R-MA) introduced an alternative unemployment insurance extension package that would be paid for and fully offsets the cost of the legislation. Scott Brown's amendment stands in stark contrast to Majority Leader Reid's measure, which adds more than $30 billion to the national debt.
Whenever someone suggests slashing spending or reducing social programs that benefit only a select few, the leftists have this outrageous habit of pulling out words like "racist", or "bigotted", or other forms of name calling. What is HILARIOUS is that his bill pays for it by cutting nutrition and earn income tax credits on the poor as well as snatching some money from medicare. Good thing conservatives can't read...actually, most neocons I know would jump at the chance to make sure a poor child doesn't get a decent breakfast...

Do you think that he'll want Bush's tax cut extension paid for when that comes to vote?...

Of course his amendment was voted down. He only got 42 votes for it. Why do Dems want to keep running up our debt?

Solve problems, cut spending, you just come in from Mars. Don't believe anything you hear in DC, not rhetoric. They don't want to work with the other side, they will use you only if you go along with their agenda. But don't believe me, Get the FACTS, you have them at your fingertips. Don't take anyone's word for anything, prove all things even the very existence of God,as one of our founding Fathers said.

Go Scott! I was watching when some of the democrats spoke and they were simply nasty. I don't know how they expect republicans to join them when all the dems do is insult them and blame Bush for EVERYTHING. I'm so tired of it and I'm glad we the people of MA sent an independent thinker like you!
