Acker Bilk PJB 1959 Summer set

Acker Bilk and His Paramount Jazz Band another fabulous Acker Bilk composition and equally fabulous Acker Bilk clarinet solo with the rhythmn section 1959 issued under "Starportrait (1959-1969)." This was the forerunner for Acker Bilk's famous Stranger on the Shore which carried him to Stardom and probably kept him in a bed of roses for the rest of his life (he said it was his pension). The Band featured here: Acker Bilk (cl); Dave Collett (Pn) Roy James (Ba); Ernie Price (bs); Ron Mackay (dr) (Thanks to "pat4170" for reminding me that Ernie Price was the Bass player).
