@proinsias78 I AM an American fiddler who plays old time music with a buildup of rosin on my fiddle that gets wiped off once a year, maybe. Seems most American(?) fiddlers today are classically trained and tend to wipe the rosin off after each playing as they wish to keep their fiddle's finish as pristine as possible, imho. At least that seems to be the case here where I live and play. It's nice to see that I'm not alone in the "rosin buildup" department! ;D

@jojo5256 If you do a search on Y.T. for some of the names mentioned...you'll know what I'm talking about...Legends...that kept the music alive when it was "neither popular or profitable."
