You know I always was confused why people think if there was no religion we'd all get along. We still wouldn't, it would ultimately achieve nothing. Good song though.

Nothing is automatic; It would still take work and effort to get a long. But at least there would be one less basis on which we disagree.

Attended my first humanist funeral, a celebration of a great mans life, non of that God is great guff.

The coffin was a straw/wicker type thing - no money wasted on fancy wood and brass handles but then he was always tighter than a sub-marine door.

    I'll miss you Lezzo.

The humanist life is a beautiful experience. Connected to the world in which we live in a rich and meaningful way. I'm sorry for the loss of your friend, but I am honored to share in the celebration of a life well-lived. Thank you for bringing the recognition of your friend together with this song. Jim

Thanks. Glad you like the song. Standard guitar tuning. It's a pretty simple C/F/G7 chord progression

You should look up the venus project (it promotes a resourced based economy) ;)!

Um, why did you go off on a rant. All I said was getting rid of religion wouldn't solve anything. I don't see really how what any of what you said had anything to do with what I said. If you look at all the things done in the name of religion, you'll find that there were other motives for them. The holy wars were mostly fought for land and religion was used as a means to justify it. There really usually some other motive. Oh, and you spelled exceptible wrong. Also I'm agnostic, not a theist.

No, religion isn't the problem, intolerance is. Religion is just another means of justifying it. If we didn't have religion it would be something else. People hate because of race, money, intelligence, appearance, etc. Getting rid of religion wouldn't stop these things. It is arrogant and biased to think only religion is to blame. And if you are against allowing someone to have an opinion, no matter how dumb, you're contributing to the problem and aren't improving anything.
