Maybe so,but Danko's live performances are great at any festival.The crowd was diggin it and he was probably a refreshing break from the doom and gloom metal bands that all seem to have the same singer that sounds like the monster from the black leather lagoon.Not many bands play hard and fast like Danko.They are tight and dedicated.

This band does NOT need megalomanic lightshows and sequencers to work - the music itself is plain energy: hard, direct; without a mask - the things that matter. Plain alive, in contrary to the grave-cult of the rest of Wacken. I'm afraid the Danko Jones appearance @ the festival will be kind of a relic; the last piece of true rock that happened there, anno 2007. Merchandise for the doom/death/thrash/braindead fashion is feeding the village too well - who cares about quality?
