This time, lets look at the inside of a laptop/notebook Hard drive at work. I placed a standard 3.5" Desktop Hard Drive next to it for size comparison.

  • So the sounds it makes is normal? Because my notebook have been making this sound whenever i use this in a quiet room. I'm a paranoid bitch :(

  • @manofdamatch For older laptops and desktops it is, however you should always back up your data. Your data should always exist in two locations just in case.

  • Hey i'm not crazy good with computers like some people. Whats an ssd? It has no moving parts i think. Isn't like flash memory?

  • @wolfrider910 Correct. Wikipedia has a very good article regarding SSD.

  • is data recoverable after a full format ?

  • @BKISHANN Yes. There are utilities that can help you, such as GetDataBack, R-Studio or Easy Recovery Pro; just install the hard drive as a Slave or secondary drive on a computer and scan.

  • It looks like you use windows, right?

  • isn't it magificent what humans have been able to do?? and how sad it is that every 20 odd some years, we'll have magnetic storms from the sun and potentialy ruin all of it.

  • @joshuamarius Mine is less than 5 months old.. Will take your advice then.. thank you!

  • That is so cute.

  • so thats what that clickin noise in the computer is

  • @bigdady2700 Not true. Desktop hard drives > notebook hard drives. Think about it! Why else would desktop's not use notebook hard drives? Notebook hard drives are more expensive for every GB then desktop also desktop hard drives are bigger[both in GB size and actual size] Don't know about energy though.

  • wow!! lol i have the same hard drive in my laptop im using right now o.o . lol its older but it works great ;]

  • Will It Blend?
