Avery Jenkins trying for World Record throw to dog catch with Hero and SuperHero Fastbacks, 103 grams, at CSU Monterey Bay with JD and Josh from K9 Kings. http://www.k9kings.com/ and their dogs. Scuff (Border Collie mix) caught one at 98 yards, and Olympia (Whippet) caught one at 101 yards and 103 yards. Very close to the record! They are going to keep trying, next in Oregon in a few weeks. Fun time with Avery and his parents, Sharon and Leroy, Merle Witvoet, JD and Josh, and Derek Hastings.

  • The frisbee has to leave the thrower's hand in front of the dog, so letting him run out there and playing catch is fun, but won't set any records. Avery is throwing a 103 gram Superhero Fastback, which is a lot slower and floats more than a golf disc, such as your Glide, which probably weighs about 170 grams. Try throwing a 103 gram disc of any type over 300 feet. That alone is quite a challenge.

  • i have a 14 month old border collie that caught a frisbee a couple times in a row at 110-120 yards, i let him run out first and then i threw to him is there a rule on when the dog can start running? i used a discraft glide. what kind of frisbee is that? and what exactly are the rules... so i can stard going for this also... get a little competition going on

  • Little confused on the weight of the discs...

    What disc is being thrown?
