How to jump rope part 3 ! Advanced variations include box jump (great for basketball and soccer), double jumping (great for endurance and weightloss) among others.

Don't forget to cool down. After jumping rope, it is ideal to do some light movement to bring the heart rate down, and then do some stretching, especially for the calves, hamstrings, and quads.

Happy jumping!

  • You got it Duck! Thanks for the ocmment.

  • @JonnyFitnessNYC hey dude you got other cool variations by any chance?

  • @LoganStracci You can get super creative and freestyle! I love putting on house music and dancing while I jump rope. lol. :-)

  • I can't get cross overs down - they mess up my rhythm - any tips?

  • @hash1212121212 Yes, just practice the cross with out jumping a few times, let the rope hit your feet. Make sure you arms reach across your body far enough. Then try it while jumping once you have the feel. Once you get it, practice it in between regular jumps. Have fun!

  • I liked these videos you put up. I have a question. Would this be a good way to exercise for Soccer as well? Seeing that you are using jumping muscles. Soccer players can jump quite high especially the goalie who most of the time launches himself at the ball. Would you reccommend?

  • @MrOebie Thanks for the message! Jump rope is AMAZING training for soccer players. It will help with staying light on your feet, change of direction, and quickness, especially some of the more advanced jump rope exercises. And yes, it will help with vertical jump also!
