Carling Cup is part of the trophy cabinet and it also makes a club much more hungrier and determined to win more trophies down the road.
Manchester United did it, Liverpool did it.

But I also remember Manchester United winning the 2006 Carling Cup and then went on to win three straight EPL titles, 2009 Carling Cup, 2008 UEFA Champions League, 2009 and 2011 UCL runners-up to Barcelona, 4 FA Community Shields and 2008 FIFA Club World Cup.

@FootballJudgey94 And dont forget that Rooney was the penalty taker for Man Utd and Drogba scored all of his goals expcept 1 without penalties. For me Drogba is always better than Rooney.

Drogba may have got the Golden Boot, but Rooney got the PFA Player of the Year. I would rather have that trophy because it signifies that you were better than every other player that year
