Weezer blows up big and these guys don't? Dislike

@AdRichBiatch Wish it had happened for them before they called it quits. I totally bought "Where Have All the Merrymakers Gone?" because I heard Flagpole Sitta on the radio... Then it turned out they were one of my favorite bands.
Have to wonder what would have happened if Flagpole Sitta were released during the internet and file-sharing era. Maybe they would have caught their break.

@Revitandgo Actually I think it was only a year and a half ago... I still only have one game on it. :l

@Revitandgo I still have that one. Never hooked up my N64 to it, got it just a few years ago. I didn't get any new systems (I grew up with the NES being my only system) until the PS2 had been out for a few years, and I had always hooked that up to a different VCR we were using at the time.

Like most people, I'd never heard anything by Harvey Danger except for "Flagpole Sitta." This song is pretty damn good, unfortunately it seems like it was just released at the wrong time. Had it been released today, I think it probably would have fared better amongst some of the more "indie" rock acts with keyboards that are popular.

Yeah it is pretty catchy, used to listen to it when 107.7 Extreme was active here in Victoria, B.C., Canada.
Ione skye? That's her name? Looked good in high heels when she was an office temp :)

I don't see how this song never got HUGE.

I think Harvey Danger's "King James Version" album is similar to Weezer's "Pinkerton" in that it was hugely under appreciated when it was released, but as time goes on it will develop an grow underground following, when people realize they had a lot more than "Flagpole Sitta" to offer.
