@davinp They might have post office boxes, or they may have cluster mailboxes (where all the mailboxes are together and you can't tell which one is for which house).

Yea our bus is a 2001 internatinal flat nose not the front like this all of my schools buses have sensors so a alarm will go off when the sensors catches something in the front and the back

ok has anyone ever noticed that all these 911 episodes end with the family playing a board/card game of some sort?

That isn't the problem. It is that the bus is too high and the child is too short. It would be impossibale to see that girl even if the bus have a flat dashboard unless the driver stands up because she is very close to the bus... If she was 10 feet away, then the driver could see her without having to stand up.
