What a shame that Portugal which has such a beautiful language, so quickly abandons its language just to try to win Eurovision. Its like a beautiful rose having itself spray painted to be seen in public. How sad.
Que pena que Portugal que tem a idioma tao bonita perisa feliz se abandonar sua propria lingua so para tentar ganhar Eurovision. É como uma rosa linda que é considerada a flora mais linda se pinturar por sair na rua. Que triste!

@Arimor1 It's like I said ... One thing doesn't rule out the other because the two views can coexist on the same "space" ..
I don't see any contradictions here, only two opinions that never could be contradictory :)
-
@1Algarvio1 How can you possibly agree with me when we clearly have opposing views...?
-
@Arimor1 I agree .. But this doesn't invalidate what I said :)

@1Algarvio1 You couldn't be more wrong. One's identity is personal to oneself. Someone could be born in the UK to Portuguese parents, but possess an absolute British identity with hardly any regard to their Portuguese roots. And likewise, there are people born and bred in the UK to Portuguese parents who look at themselves as being entirely Portuguese, with hardly any form of British identity. The point I'm making here, is that it's down to the individual and how they see themselves.

@CallumJ230 A person whose parents are Portuguese, but having been born and always lived in another country, is still Portuguese, and that person is no less portuguese than a citizen of Portugal (born and raised there). I don't see where's the problem to consider her has a portuguese .. Moreover, she doesn't deny her origins, so ..
