This meme wouldn't have been the global craze it was without Australia. Planking was huge in Australia months before Europe and America.

"Planking" was actually originated in England as "the lying down game" by a guy called Tom Green in 1994. It's important you know this because some australians are claiming that they invented this idea and are taking credit for it, but all they did was change the name of it.
