That's a pretty big assumption, myhealthyus. Most, if not, all, Americans belief health reform is needed badly. 

It's not all one "side" is "pro-insurance companies and people not having healthcare" or the other "side" all for healthcare. What reality are you in? Things are rarely that black and white. Most whom you are claiming are "pro-insurance companies" want serious reform also (tort reform, et al) and believe it's government's job to be HELP, but NOT to TAKEOVER healthcare.

I am just shocked that Hollywood elites are toing the liberal orthodoxy. The healthcare bill just passed the House tonight. Just another step towards the American version of Socialism. Obama promised to "fundamentally transform America." So, all you people who voted for Obama and are surprised at the speed of this "transformation" have no one to blame. The age of Big Government is stronger than ever.

Jthreedoto, I have no problem with some kind of public option, etc & acknowledge that social healthcare systems around the world can & do work.

The main gripe from conservatives over this bill is not that they think healthcare is so peachy & perfect, but that this bill REQUIRES one to have health insurance....if not, you pay an excise TAX. Have a problem with a TAX for something that you don't want? Well, then you GO TO JAIL.

It is a WRONG & Un-Constitutional violation of personal liberty.
