Beautiful looking truck..it was like watching a Knight Rider or A-Team episode where they used many GMC trucks.

I had a KW with a green 8V92 445 which I

repowered with a silver a few years ago. The main difference I think was in the block. The green block had the waterways too close to the oilways and they cracked and got water in the oil. This happened to me and it wrecked the mains and the crank. The silver spaced them further apart

Please make some more videos of this Astro; they were always one of my favorite trucks; there used to be a GMC dealership just minutes from where I grew up so I used to see lots of new and used Astros, Generals, 9500's pulling in and out of the garage and parking lot; some of the straight piped ones with Detroits I could even hear from my house! So seeing this Astro brings back lots of memories

Wait a minute. Wait just a damn minute! I call BS on this truck having a Detroit in it. there is no smoke, it cant be possible.

LOL! my hats off to the mechanic, a Detroit that barely smokes is quite a feat. Well maybe not that big a feat. But one thing is for sure, those bad boys were known to do two things: turn diesel fuel into music and drink oil. Kinda like a cast iron musician :-)
