isnt it strange how WABC was the first to cover WNBC's helicopter crash and then in 2007, WNBC was the first to cover WABC's studio fire? something is strange here! did WABC try to get vengance in 2004 and WNBC get revenge in 2007? we have two TV stations at war!

You're right, a belt broke. It was installed improperly, it broke and messed up the hydraulics.

This was the second crash involving Chopper 4, the first one came in 1998, when it crashed into the Potomac River. WABC's chopper is called NewsCopter 7, and WCBS's is Chopper 2.
