I was a Postulant here in the mid 'eighties. A beautiful part of my life, and a most beautiful abbey. I'll always cherish the memories I keep in my heart of the months I was there. May God bless the monks of St Bernard in this new year and always.

When I was a freshman in college, at St. Bernard, Sr Maurus Allen,osb read me the prolog of the rule. She advised me to remember to listen to God with my heart's hears....I have remember that talk through out my life... in more than one difficult moment listening with my heart's ears rather than with the ones on each side of my head, have brought me out of crisis. LISTEN WITH YOUR HEART'S EARS when what you hear doesn't make sense!
