You really dont know that. Do you have any proof where he was april the 4th to back that statement up? Why dont you ask Mike Starr for yourself then. And yes he was alone but he got abandoned by Mike Starr during his final moments in which he could have saved him. Layne said he didnt want to die this way in the first place.

this song deserved a video, i agree with what yo say. AIC created an atmosphere to each song, you get hipnotized and surrounded by it, get a picture of what Staley was feeling and gets in your head. There are few bands that can create songs that get you to a different place, with a meaning and truth. That why i respect AIC. They were deep n honest musicians, not just a pack of headbangers or posers. Staley wrote poems instead of simple lyrics. RIP Layne
