  • How well does the stove work for you? Im looking for a long lasting good working stove so please reply.

  • @MrSurviveAll I have used the same one now for 15 years and still love it !! For the price you will pay you will be happy !!

  • Now why would I retire my gas burner for this? I read a lot about how great trangias are but cannot fathom whats so great about that thing. Also if it turns over I imagine a pretty nasty result.

  • If your happy with your gas burner I sure wouldnt give it up. Trangia stoves are like Ford or Chevy trucks. Everyone has their favorite. I also use Jetboil and about 8 other stoves so I can see your point. I try not to limit myself to one but Trangia stoves are a good little stove. Thanks for your comment !

  • you can use the bowl to put it out!! nice job

  • THANKS !!

  • It only works optimally for a few days.... for a single person...

Beyond this short period you must re-supply.

This is my favorite among six or seven stoves I've used in 40 years.....

  • I bought the Trangia Westwind kit. No problem finding alcohol while backpacking. A Trangia will last a lifetime.

  • You still have room for a bandana, Swedish Firesteel, and a MSR folding spork in stored inside that kit! Maybe even a small salt shaker.

The bandana is great for clean-up, and has a million other uses. It also reduces the slight rattling of the Brass burner and aluminum stand insde the kit.

    Good video!

  • I own this kit. I think it's great, but I wish the fry pan was just a little deeper.

  • Great stove.

  • the handle thingy is called a billy-grip or "spondonicle" ....

in a Three Stooges sketch Larry asks for a

    spondonicle ,,a mock surgical instrument

    .

  • Shame it's aluminum though.
