This is the Kendo Demonstration at the 4th Paris Taikai 2008 on 15 th & 16 th of March.
8-Dan Kendo.

This is a demonstration only. It is not that they do not take any risks, it is that they are operating on such a high level. They are using their mental training to try and out position each other. Notice when they move their shinai(swords), there are only moving it a few inches up,down,left,right. They are fighting for position and that position is the dead-middle or center-line of their opponent. This coupled with the mental aspect of Kendo dictates when they attack.
