a tribute to the Seaking Mk.48, who has served the Belgian Air Force for over 30 years now.

the helicopter first entered service with the Belgian Air Force in 1976 and is mainly used for Search and rescue tasks along the Belgian coastline.

with over 1200 lives saved up to date, the Seaking has become a legend in Belgium. of the 5 helicopters now in service, 2 or 3 are still operational while the other 2 are being repaired or maintained. however at all good things comes an end, the seaking is now getting old and is really starting to show its age. they will be replaced within a few years by the NH90.

but even when the seaking retires, it will never be forgotten.

Why do the Seaking Tribute and Apache Tribute have the same song?

especially cramped up with all the SAR equipment, you would not get much of aerobatics out of a SeaKing, I've seen some very neat formation flying with empty ones... On the other hand, a dipper SeaHawk, or a SAR one won't do any aeroatics...
