Shooting my Stag Arms M4

Incorrect.
The M4 is so designated due to it's select fire capability. The original M4 was designed with semi and 3-round-burst modes. The later M4A1 dropped the burst mode for full automatic capability.
The semi-only capable version is in fact the AR-15, and is the basis of all M16 and later M4 variants.
An AR-15 can have a ton of M4 parts (ie: M4 feed ramps, M4 upper, short length govt. profile barrel, etc), and still not be a M4. It's the select fire capability that makes the M4 an M4.

The Bushmaster technical term for their civilian M4 is the XM-15 carbine. The M4A2/ A3 is a military term many people and manufacturers use. I own a Stag Model 1 which is an M4A3. Go to Bushmaster's website and the call it an M4 Type, but civilian receivers and boxes all state XM-15. This is what I have noticed from selling Bushmaster rifles for 3 years now.

DPMS is trash. COLT, LMT NOVESKE
It's tight. There is next to no play between the upper and lower receiver. I still stand by my decision with the purchase of the Stag Arms.

Being in the army for so long, I refuse to say AR15... He is right though, it's not an M4.

I am considering buying a Stag Arms 2T or 2TL. Do you recommend a Stag?
What are the pros? cons?

I do recommend a Stag Arms. It isn't as expensive as some of the other company's and the product is just as good if not better. I have had no problems with it what so ever.
