we bought this brand new 2010 Town & Country touring mini van on 12/22/09 and 2 days later we started to have problems. First the wipers start going and then all the lights on the dash go on and as you will see the dash loses power. after a $33,180 price tag you would think there wouldn't be any problems. i took it to the dealer today 12/29/09 and i want to see how this will be fixed.

UPDATE as of 12/29/2009 .

service called and said they found the problem. they replaced the Module .

UPDATE on 1/4/2010 service called and said they now had to replaced the gauge cluster. they had to order it. they replaced it and i got a call on 1/5/2010 and said its all fixed and to come and pick it up.

UPDATE 1/5/2010 wife went right after work to go and get it. guess what before she even moved the minivan the problem happened again so what they replaced did not fix the problem. she went back inside and had to leave the minivan again.

our brand new 2010 town and country touring minivan has been at the dealer since 12/29/09 and still the problem is not resolved.

  • Thats really weird... Because normally Chrysler Minivans are VERY Reliable and im not saying their not. I say they are because we have a 1997 White Dodge Grand Caravan Sport and its been working well ever since we got it. It's even got over 147000 miles on it! I love Chrysler Minivans!

  • @Ijellop well its fixed and the wife loves it. great for having kids and plenty of room

  • Fuck Chrysler you have a Christine of a Mini Van

  • Fuck Chrysler

  • lol dodge.

  • I have the same crappy problem, T&C 2008, it has 80K on it, took it to the dealer twice, paid $600 first time, second time paid $800. I still have the problem. Beside loving everything else in the car, this problem is very dangerous, as you lose as well the break light and turning signal light, beside not knowing which speed you are currently driving. Shitty manufacture and shitty dealership. The worst part is, dealership doesn't know how to fix it, Never Chrysler again.

  • @AirCanadaA55555A Maybe because some stupid people don't know how to care for their car. Plus I know about that non-brake interlock problem. It is reliable, but that part makes it unsafe, not unreliable. Just learn your lesson and don't leave your kid in the car, don't leave them unbelted, and don't leave the keys inside the ignition. :)

  • @Ijellop Reliable, you call letting a non-brake interlock equipped vehicle reliable? You call rusting everywhere reliable? WOW!

  • It seems like this model goes through a lot of odd problems. I work for a dealership and we get a lot of this style of town & country in the shop. I think that Chrysler didn't think this style through to much, but I can say that the new 2011 models, feel a lot more solid.

  • Thanks for the call, have a couple of questions if you can drop me a line or give me a call.

    Thanks

  • I just purchased a 2010 Town and Country Touring Plus and have the exact same problem. Mine started at about 800 miles--month after purchase. I've been to the dealer twice to have it serviced but they state they can't duplicate the problem and are stumped as to the cause. They are waiting on a response from Chrysler as to how to proceed.

Can you tell me how they fixed yours or identified the problem and if you've had any more electrical issues since the van has been repaired.
