Mark Streit season-ending injury, Rick DiPietro bodyslams Sim

Late in the New York Islanders' scrimmage September 25th, Matt Moulson nudged Mark Streit into the boards. Although the cross-check looked fairly harmless, Streit fell awkwardly into the boards, injuring his shoulder. Earlier in the game, in an unrelated incident, Rick DiPietro bodyslammed Jon Sim to the ice after Sim came a little too close behind the net. Apologies for the poor video quality.

Obviously I'm not happy about this...but that was not a big hit by Moulson. Streit just fell at a funny angle. It sucks, but no use blaming the guy. I'm sure he feels bad enough.

freak accident i hope DP stays healthy thats a tough tough loss for the islanders, hope okposo moulson and tavares have stellar seasons cause with streit i dont see much happening in the isle

were done forget first dipietro now this hes suppose to be out for 6months if Dipietro dont stay healthy this year and now with this bad news,we might as well move from the island cos were done with before the season even starts i cant think of one year were we didnt have our best guys out before the season even start its a joke!

why a teammate hit his STAR Player from behind? Is this necessary? In fact that the Islanders have not the best Defense Player in the team beside Streit. Sad moment... But hopefully he will return with the same strengh next season.
