did author kurt vonnegut ever register an opinion about this show? he was a pow in germany during ww2 & the experience figures considerably into the plot of "slaughterhouse 5."

@Specter750 it was similar here. German POW camps in the US were manned by older soldiers and others that had never seen combat. We wanted the POWs here treated humanely, including using guards who would not be inclined to engage in paybacks, knowing word of that would get back to Germany and could result in our POWs receiving better treatment.
