Pharmacy refusal story

That pharmacist was carrying religion a little too far. The woman wanted a drug to help her terminate her pregnancy because her baby had already died inside the womb. She was already carrying around a dead baby. She and her husband had wanted this baby and it died anyway. She didn't want a drug to help her kill her baby. She wanted the drug to help her abort her already dead baby; a baby which she and her husband had wanted. That pharmacist was stupid.

People that agree with this position need to be just as "tolerant" of the position of a prolife pharmacist as they would ask others to be of their right to choose and understand that to a person who holds these convictions, you are asking them to become the agent responsible for dispensing medication that will KILL another human being. Pharmacists cannot refuse to dispense medication that is NEEDED, only that which is DESIRED. There is a difference.

I was worried that he wanted the poor woman to go to term with dead fetus inside her. Any how pharmacists should carry on their duties as professionals not as village priests.

she is a dumb bitch.. she could just go to another pharmacy if she wanted..

pharmacists shouldnt refuse patients their medication its the womans choice. But this is giving a bad name to pharmacists. I think most and probably almost all pharmacists dispense the birth control its just a very small percent. And if a woman isnt able to get the birth control there are 10s or 100s of other pharmacys that dont care and she can go to a different one. that pharmacy will just lose business in the long run.

so your rights over ride the rights of individuals who choose not to participate? I will quit pharmacy before I will participate in the abortion of a pregnancy.. and let's highlight this one case in thousands where all the others are 18 yr olds that think there is no consequence to their repeated actions...

Having worked in a pharamcy as long as I have I cannot believe that a pharmacist would do this, that is just wrong. As long as you're not abusing your controlled substances, it's not our right to say you can or cannot have your prescriptions, this poor woman!

I guess pharmacists take the Oath of Douchebag Christer Assholes
@spawnhell809334 Thats not the point you moron - a pharmacist's duty is to help the patient - not an opportunity to impose one's personal beliefs on them.

what horse shit! i'm sorry your a pharmacist not a priest, you don't perscribe the med, you don't take the med and you have no right to interfere with the health care of another person.. the decision is between a woman, her doctor and her family, and her faith! if he wants to force his religion on people he should become a priest, not a pharmacist.
