I rode down to Laguna Nigel to meet a group of riders going up the Aliso Creek Trail to Cooks Corner, and then took Santiago canyon back home. 70 miles in total on my recumbent trike.

  • Great ride! Thanks for making me homesick again. ;-) Back in the day b4 bike trails I used to ride the Katella>Santiago Cyn Rd>El Toro Rd>Laguna Cyn Rd>PCH>Magnolia>Katella loop on a regular basis. Thanks for the video views of the old ride!

  • @dwreed22 - Yeah, there are a lot of great trails in OC now... but riding the streets is still good if you stay in the outskirts of the county. Gives a lot more options for riding distance. ;-) Glad to make you homesick again.

  • Great great video as always, I live here in Detroit so I don't have the pleasure of riding this time of year I have to watch you west coast guys so keep the videos coming.

  • @19320000000000 - Thanks... Hoping our ride videos keep you sustained through the winter months. ;-)

  • lol... you lot have a truckload of chutzpah to stop at that Halley biker bar to have lunch...

  • @Greengate777 - ha! Cooks is not quite the same Biker Bar that it used to be... I think it's a bit tamer now. Besides.. I think the Harley riders are afraid of our spandex

  • doesn't it give you a great feeling knowing that your machine runs on pizza and chocolate, not on oil like all those cars and trucks you pass by? ... and even though you may also occasionally produce some toxic gasses after refueling at Cooks, they don't even compare with what comes out of the exhaust pipe of the cars...

  • i like the ika i use to work for them they r a good company to work for anyway nice ride to you got love the down hill i no i do lol the to wheelers you r riding with can you keep up with them or do they stay with you and that is fresh road kill lol oh ya what is the big cank ring up front and great day of riding KEEP ON RIDIN

  • @mtmassociate - It was actually only about 30 or 31 mph there... I did hit 34.5 on one other short steep downhill not shown in the video. Fastest I have ever had it on a downhill (not on this ride) was 45! That was fast enough!

  • At 15:00 "downhill into Orange Hills" what was your top speed?
