Morning Star today, "Knowles was forced to resign when he was caught between remorseless behind-the-scenes pressure from Boris Johnson, Theresa May and David Cameron on the one side and Christian doctrine and theover-whelming support of the Anglican laity for the activists on the other".
Dean Knowles, had he had any backbone, would have remained in situ in order to take an unambiguous stand for justice and the Gospel.

A Conservative Party donor. OUCH! Hardly the man to be talking to about revolution (if you are expecting an ally). But if you do talk to him, remember he is the adversary of theological liberalism, anarchism, socialism, and any kind of breaking the status quo..

@02Blackbeard of course not... but the CoE is part of the church worldwide.... The church is not made of bricks or mortar but of living stones... and it is built on the rock that Jesus Christ is the Messiah... the Son of God....... and that is what the church is called to build upon still...nothing has changed there....

What was said between Wat Tyler and the King is largely conjecture and little is known of the exact details of the encounter; however, by all accounts the unarmed Tyler was suddenly attacked without warning and killed by the Lord Mayor of London,
