The bit about the coins laying at the feet of one of Jack the Rippers victims, is not true.
He's not a very good historian.

@redfowlham Sadly not, though I do have a video of a lecture given by Alan Murdie on said SHJ in 2004.

What a fantastic post. I remember this episode when it was on first time around, late at night it sent a little chill through me!
Really liked "London's scariest mysteries", the opening credits used to spook me out!
