Browsing my NAS with my new Mac Mini (2010), on Plex.
Plex is the nicest Media Centre I have EVER seen. All I did was adding my movies, tv-shows and music folders. Plex takes care of all the rest :)
Pure awesomeness :D

  • @DjAces11 Ja.

  • Om du har nerladdade filmer, fixar plex all info om den och covers n shit själv? Tex om jag laddar ner en 1080p fil av Avatar från TPB, hittar den all info om filmen själv då?

  • @jitu757 I have the same problem, but beside that it works. as I said before, perfect! :-)

  • @PhiHul Thanks for the reply and I didn't get a reply back from the user but I have also setup Plex on my iMac and MacBook Pro and also have Plex iOS on the iPad and iPhone. All the media are stored in 4 tb drive handled by Drobo. So far everything is great but the only thing I don't like about Plex is the inability to play certain video plug-ins and the ones that I can play like Netflix and Hulu but I can't fast forward them.

  • @PhiHul Plex software and Plex iOS is the BEst media management software on the web.

  • @jitu757 Don't know if you already got the answer you where looking for, but the guy in the video is using Plex software that you install on your computer mac or Pc, and it doesn't matter how you connect the computer to your tv, me for instants are using a ordinary vga cable and audio cable, works perfect and also have 3 Tb WD HD smacked with media files that I can watch at my tv or even stream to my smartphone(iphone) where ever I am.

    so for conclusion,

  • Funkar .mkv filer att spela upp? Är sugen på att köra plex som du gör och använda Iphone som controller...

  • Which NAS are you using and how do you have it hooked up? USB Firewire or Ethernet?

  • @aseddon83 That will work fine however i would suggest that you download all the covers for your collection onto one machine and then simply copy over the plex database to your second or third machine. I have this running perfectly runing my movies in Full HD to multiple machines. Plex is awesome. Although im still not sure how to catalogue my tv shows so that it updates those packshots when i ask it to. ANyway good luck youll have fun Plex will be my main source of media playback for long time

  • Do you have any other macs accessing the NAS via plex? I'm thinking of a similar set up but i have a MacBook Pro and iMac and would like to run Plex on them all with the NAS sharing media to all devices. Can u see this working?
