Well, here's the deal people. I bring you something good, something really good, I'm not sure you deserve it. Maybe I'm wrong, but I doubt it. Raise your hand if you're tired of hearing the same old politically correct answers and interviews from people that have agendas. My hand is raised by the way. So I wanted to interview a person on some serious topics, i.e., politics, religion, the war, foreign policy, the media, but I didn't want to get the generic p.c., agenda laced responses. So I thought to myself, who always says what's on his mind? Who has a strong, yet educated opinion on relevant issues? Who would I like to hear weigh in on these issues? Who is just plain bad ass? The answer: Henry Rollins. While I admit Rollins definitely has an agenda to push, it's his, not a party, or an industry, so I'm cool with that. By no means do I agree with all that Rollins told me in our interview, but he is refreshingly objective, informed, and extremely passionate about his opinions, and that makes everything he says all the more interesting.

For those of you who have been under a rock for the past twenty years, Henry Rollins is a musician, author, actor, poet, t.v. and radio host, avid traveler, and generally the busy person in the world. Most recently Rollins hosted a series of documentaries for the IFC channel called Henry Rollins Uncut that will air November 7th, 2008. Rollins spoke to me about the subject of these documentaries, along with his extensive list of countries he has been to in the last twelve months. He brings to the small screen an objectiveness rarely seen on issues such as Apartheid in South Africa, the Katrina clean up, and the Northern Ireland conflict, while still injecting his own style of commentary and entertainment. I found the documentaries extremely thought provoking and entertaining, much like this interview I bring to you with Rollins himself.

Let us break this down. If you dig this interview I worked so tirelessly on for you, feel free to write a long, praised filled comment to me about how awesome I am. Then show this to all of your cool friends who will surely thank you for enlightening them. If you don't dig this piece, feel free to write a much shorter comment, but comment nonetheless.

A couple last things, If I whet your taste buds for more Rollins footage, checkout the incredible web extras jam-packed with Rollins awesomeness. And if you want more info on the IFC stuff got to www.ifc.com

So my friends, watch and enjoy what is the always incredible Henry Rollins.

  • He joined a band as a vocalist because Keith left the band. Hes a brilliant, funny, fascinating, engaging man. Hes not the greatest vocalist. Though, he is more coherant and intellectually pleasing than morris.

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork Wow now its name calling and throwing down more punk history trying to legit your situ. Is this how you release stress, go find a video you dislike and post comments against it using your punk history and "huge education" to bully others??? TROLL FIND A BRIDGE!!

  • @poolpig you illiterate fag, I aint criticising anyone except east coast bozos like rollins. he jumped on the bandwagon in 81 with black flag long after it had already made an impact, thanks to keith morris.

I dig keith morris' stuff but that doesn't mean I buy all the shit he says either, same with jack. But I believe jack has it right about about rollins. He was their a good 3-4 years before rollins.

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork Its dumb for 2 reasons Rollins has done a lot as much if not more than Keith and you got on a Rollins video to knock Rollins. I personally like everyone you named! lol you would follow what Jack says go ahead I WOULD TRUST WHAT JACK SAYS B4 U thats fuckin lame. I dont know you and I hope you know Grisham. Instead of finding people to argue with like some TROLL because it is about taste and not fact go watch something you like. And you basically criticize Keith Morris too lol!

  • @poolpig it's not dumb it's true. i'd trust what jack grisham says before I would you. and I like OFF but it's not party music like keith claimed it was.

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork thats dumb and if you believe it go watch some OFF vids a great band!

  • rollins = poser. he rode the coattails of keith morris. keith lived the real life.
