The sound you are referring to is not the motor. And by the way, this bike is not a two cylinder, it's a V-4. The sound you are not liking is probably the clutch, which rattles at idle because it is a dry clutch. And it is beautiful!

that rattle is the sound all ducati's have it is just something that makes it different from the other bikes.
