  • great video man. Are you from Cavan/monaghan originally? i'm trying to place the accent.

  • @thewoodsie92 spot on. From Monaghan, currently living in Cavan.

  • How very odd that I keep hearing that Brontosaurus was "made up." It was a perfectly legitimate fossil species. Its just that OC. Marsh, on discovering a skull of another large sauropod in the same strata, assumed it belonged with "Brontosaurus" when in fact it was separate sauropod genus, Camarasaurus. And of course, you are correct in saying that another "Brontosaurus" skeleton had previously been discovered and named Apatosaurus.

  • @WildwoodClaire1 My first draft of this video included a more robust history of the Bone Wars but unfortunately the 90 seconds allowed for this round meant that it ended up being cut.

Never got around to expanding on it, maybe I'll touch back on it the next time I hit a video dry-spell.

  • @IzaFaqat obvious troll is obvious.

  • Is there actually people arguing because they don't know that global warming is real? For fuck sake, turn off fox news, put down your bible and fucking read something from a scientist already. Global warming is a fact. Yes climates shift and change over millions of years naturally, but we're seeing a faster shift because of our green house gases that humans have been producing. Fact is fact. In my opinion you're no better then the people who claim evolution isn't real lol. Morons lol.

  • i feel bad for Americans...such ignorence it's sad.

  • @Spiderpope Just because a mistake is made in one field of study, does not equal an entirely separate field of study being wrong.

If i make a mistake dating a piece of Roman pottery, that doesn't mean everyone should start doubting if their mechanic knows how an internal combustion engine works.

  • Whats the difference between scientists being wrong about a Brontosaurus and scientists being wrong about global warming?

Well that'd be one is a minor misclassification made by palaeontologist during a time when the field was very much in its infancy that was rectified rather quickly, the other is an ongoing study of climate change by a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SCIENTIFIC DISCIPLINE.

  • Global warming is not a fact. Climate change is. CO2 is not a cause of climate change, it's a product of it. Water vapor is the leading cause of what you call "global warming". Remember Eyjafjallajokull erupting back in 2010? It spat out more CO2 then we ever have. Don't forget about the oceans, taking up 71% of the Earth's surface, has contained life longer than any other place on earth and constantly spits out CO2 as a byproduct.

  • Molotov is a fucking smeg head.

  • there's a lot of theists and atheists unconvinced of global warming because its an issue that does not require a religious standing to have an opinion on. I generally call anyone stupid who denies global warming's presence and thinks the human population is not increasing in a overwhelming manner

  • how can there be people so fucking stupid in the 21st century?

  • @koolanator That is pretty much my view. Thank you for posting.

  • I am snorting hot chocolate right now. Bloody hilarious, spot on.

  • I am actually 15 of the names one the Oregon petition. Between my friends and myself we make op about 160+- of the names.
