The Root of All Evil is in the key of F. The Answer Lies Within is in G. every song goes up a key until Octavarium, which is in F (Octavarium is the "octave). There were also a couple of riffs in Octavarium that were based around octaves. The whole album is full of stuff like that, it's really clever

@paulwall1981 toilet paper awards you mean? All realdrummers know he is very very very truly far away from the best drummer. Even you and he know it. At least he admitted it. You? But the creep still took em. Give em back mike or I'll have no choice but go into your house and take them back for justice purposes. If you try to stop me , youyr head is getting flushed in the toilet. There isn't a damn thing you can do about it either... hahahahahahahahaha

He may not be the most out there drummer in the world today, but he one of the most rescpeted. 12 Modern drummer best Porg drummer awards, as well as countless other awards and what have you, make Mike Portnoy a true drumming legend among drummers.

such boring questions. why not pick a dream theater fan to interview? sounds like a better idea imo

they are getting older....but they are extremly AWSOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.J
UST LOVE THEM -
@rrdrums110 Someone needs a hug.
Sorry about that, but since I'm from Sweden and not having the perfect english pronunciation, those things happen.
Too bad some of you don't like our efforts to bring you guys something fun and free. Luckily enough most people (including me, Mike, his management, the guys from Sabian and Tama, and all the drummers mailing their positive response to us) liked the result.
And for those of you calling me poser - please call me when you've done half of what we do over here and apply for the job :)

If you watch part 2, you'll see Mike is clearly enjoying himself. He was very pleased with the interview, and to come up with questions for the most interviewed drummer of the last 10 years isn't very easy. But like I said, part 2.
Best regards,
Jakob Herrmann (the "dumbass" who did the interview)
