    That's pretty much the reason as to why it's not used. It simply cannot be used in a bomb. Perhaps when uranium runs out, thorium will be the next target!

    Thorium is 2.5x more available than Uranium and cant be used in a nuclear bomb. And its easier to mine. Doesn't require enrichment and last longer in a power plant. And cant be used in a nuclear bomb or dirty bomb.
