Religious fundamentalists base their whole soteriology and moral framework on the premise that man needs Christ because man cannot OVERCOME his sinful, self-centered, lustful "animal nature" alone. Some even claim that only humans have souls. In much of Christian doctrine nature appears to be our enemy, not the divine expression of a Creator. That being the case, I wish they would at least be consistent and admit that heterosexuality is also a sin.

@caseyspaos I think the idea of sin is a construct to enslave people. Heterosexuality is not more a crime against fellow human beings than homosexuality. But we're expected to feel guilty about it. Where there is no harm done to another person or feeling creature, there is nothing to feel bad about.
