Andy Shaw reviews the Magicbox Clarus Plus internet radio, which features Wi-Fi, DAB and FM. For more product reviews visit www.webuser.co.uk/products.
This review is wrong on podcasts. This radio accesses the BBC Podcast service and NOT Listen Again (iPlayer) - so it is not confusing at all, but it is disappointing (because there is MUCH more material on Listen Again).
Bought this radio for £49 from Curry's. Very good for the money and it is Silicon Frontier based so different to the Reciva based radios. I have two of them the Magicbox Imp and the Roberts WM-201
Hi - am thinking abvout getting one of these, good to hear that the sound is ok and ease of use is good. Some cheap internet radios have hbig connectivity problems or long term connectivity problems apparently (such as the Revo Blik) so I assume this has none as you haven't mentioned. Also I will have to check connectivity... can an ipod or mp3 playing mobile phone/mp3 player be connected ? does it have a USB slot and if so, will the USB slot accept flash drives full of mp3s ?
Ive got this radio and I cant really fault it except for 1 thing which is that when searching for internet stations it would be a good idea if there was a keypad to enter say a K to bring up all the stations that begin with a K but other than that its a good piece of kit and half teh price of another wifi radio i was looking at so top marks from me
Was hoping someone would have mentioned the Pause/Rewind function :(

I have one, it does access IPlayer/Listen Again.
It can stream RealMedia so you get the full show plus you get the Filleted podcasts.
The confusion occurs because they are both labelled Podcasts but in different branches of the menu system.
This is an EXCELLENT review by Andy Shaw
By the way. Does anyone know how to forward or skip through content?
