THis is a video showing my homemade w/m injection system. Its basically a rough draft, and theres still a few kinks to work out, but it still work

2007 VW MKV GTi
-APR 93 octane tune
-Forge DV
-Carbonio Intake
along with this w/m injection system.

The pressure switch is set to turn on the water pump at 8 psi. THe injector size is a 4gph nozzle (from Devils Own). The pump is a 150 psi Shurflo water pump. The gains are really amazing, in both HP and torque. The car pulls from anywhere on the RPM band. Soon I'll GTec Pro some results and make another video.


NOTE:
- Obey all Traffic laws, I am not responsible if you drive bad on the road
- Make sure you know what you are doing if you decide to make and install a w/m injection system on your own. If you screw up, I'm not responsible.

  • @WaZzAp11010 Water/Meth injection add more volume into the cylinders, therefore increasing compression..... Your running to much boost with the meth/water injection, your compression ratio is too high for that motor. You can hear it knocking as well.

  • so you are running 20 psi on the stock turbo, with no intercooler and just meth? what temperature is your boosted air temp usually at?

  • Not sure what the hell that sound is when its injecting, but should NOT hear that. Is it tapped into a metal intake? It alsmost sounds like its hitting metal.  Also I hope this isnt tapped before the turbo.

    Also water/meth injection is NOT bad for your engine if installed properly and tuned. And yes it HAS to be tuned or else you will be running too rich and could cause engine wash in the cylinders. Its actually is very good for the engine. Think of steam cleaning your engine.

  • thumbs up for a DYI w/m injector. I have my 07 gti at APR stage 2+ and I would like to add one too. how do you work around the settings on the ecu? I'm gussing the timing has to change with the octain boost.

  • I don't care what you say, that is NOT a good sounding system.

    But on the other hand, who the fuck cares, its working and thats what counts. More power to ya for having a little bit of initiative and ingenuity.

  • @narutovskiba88 how do you figure that? its a power adder. once the engine is hot, you inject water/methanol in. in doin so, the meth creates a flame front that helps ignite the diesel, and the combustion process vaporizes the water into steam. steam is a hellacious form of energy (nuclear reactors anyone?), and also helps cool EGTs which will protect the turbo. as long as you let the motor run for a minute to burn out the water vapor, all is good.

  • @WaZzAp11010 u should go check it then because the methanonal injection is not really good for ur engine when is forcing boost out from the turbo :)
