Silent Hunter4 with the add on SkipJack Sub, very fast under water @ well over 40 knots, it's faster under water than when surfaced. It also has a known depth of over 180 feet so it can bypass depth charges. Second boat is the S Class followed by a Salmon Class firing off a few explosive fish at a WWII Japanese fuel Tanker.

  • @kiwismx5 silence........ if not pink floyd or muse or dairy,of dream very far for your song :-)

  • @kiwismx5 it's speed is not oaver 9000... or 40 knots, that's not realistic

    (wiki)

It was designed to have a speed in excess of 20 knots, but its actual speed was a guarded secret. However, the rated reactor power in shaft horsepower (15,000 shp) and reasonable assumptions about the hull's coefficient of drag, cross sectional area, and appendage drag can be combined via algebra to show that the vessel should have reached 31 knots submerged. So your claim of 40 knots is only 30% inaccurate. XD
