Double Your DSL Speed

This video shows my installation of a POTS outside DSL splitter. I doubled my DSL dl speed by doing this. This will NOT work for everybody, but it worked for me. This improvement is inexpensive, and effective.

@ddd1600 All I can say regarding landlords is you never know until you ask. Most of them couldn't care less, but if explained properly, the landlord might see things your way. The important thing to know before you try this is whether you internet provider says higher speeds are possible, or not. My provider said they were, so I gave this a go. It worked for me. Here we are almost 2 years later, and I have no complaints.

There are some steps you ought to take. 1) Get tech support to give you some ideas on what's happening. If tech support can't clue you, then 2) see if the phone company can shed any light with the actual phone line. I put a cat5 dedicated dsl line from my splitter to my modem as a final part of my installation. It STILL slows down sometimes, but not so much. I hope that helps.
