Making haylage in one day. 8 hours from cut to bunk. Filmed at El-Vi farms in Newark, NY.

    How many acres did you do in those 8 hours?

  • @BarendvL That day we chopped 200 acres. Only 20 of those were hay in a day, due to rain. On a normal day, we can chop 250 acres, with 100 being hay in a day.

  • Another great video. How fast are your mowing tractors moving? I've never seen a mower shoot hay like that. It must be VERY efficient! ...like your whole operation! I'm very impressed!

  • @JGB72ISH it is silage but where i work we call it haylage and silage is corn, either way it is all ensilage (stored and fremented)
