I have a lenovo with 3 years of hard use and none of those issues happened, my next will be a macBook pro and i'm sure it will last as long as my lenovo, be careful with your stuff. Remove the connector in a proper way and keep the cable not twisted, the power adaptor will last for long. If you want something hugged, buy a military laptop.
