On November 29, 2008, four young men took to the stage in the greatest musical outfit witnessed on the coast. The amateur group stepped up to face a surging crowd at Lucky's pub, faces familiar and otherwise expectantly gazing towards the performers. Johnny Lightning sat, glowing, upon his throne behind a massive array of drums, pounding out rolls and fills every which way, shattering cymbals and low expectations alike. The Love Glove moved into view, his confident grin and smart attire evoking awe in the spectators. The man's bass plucks rumbled through the building, cracking its very foundation and threatening to topple the stage until the instrument met its fate, curb-stomped between the stage and the amplifier. Standing intently next to him was Neracyl, tautly woven in his coat and concentrating deeply on accurately riding the rhythm of each song with golden arpeggios and glistening chord sequences. On the far end of the stage rests a dark figure wrapped in a scarf, whose shirt reveals him to be Captain Aurora, master of his instrument. The cerulean guitar lay effortlessly in his hands, its blistering speed of execution crunching and smashing its way through the speakers to all who would listen. And there, in the center of the other players, the Christmas Lights, and the seizure-inducing strobe stood Pigeon, propped against his microphone stand, belting out soulful vocals and orating the most clever of interludes, his technicolor coat far outweighing the power of any that Joseph ever had. This was Rare Candy, a band had already proven itself once half a year before, but dared to show their power a second time, five-strong and blazing the trail through a new generation of Synth-Punk.
The first video contains the sound check, You Sexy Thing, Floor of Clouds, and Paper Airplane.
