Can Apogee Jam plug in microphone or just guitar only?
Yes, it can connect both!
(have a microphone test in the last, sorry for my bad voice)

My recording setting

Line6 Variax guitar + Apogee Jam + iPad Garageband app + Universal Audio 710 DI + T.C.electronic 24D recording interface

and

Shure SM58s + Apogee Jam + iPad Garageband app + Universal Audio 710 DI + T.C.electronic 24d recording interface.

It has just a little latency, but it a good sound.
The apogee jam is obviously better than iRig !
But it can't work with Amplitube app still.
I tested many pedals app, like Ampkit+ , stompbox , iShred LIVE, Pocket amp, Jamup lite....etc....
And I will upload the other app sound as soon as possible!!

and I even tested iVoxel for microphone, it can work!!

By the way, the drums sound is Addictive Drums
and recording software is Cubase4
I just used the garageband preamp and pedals inside.

  • the amp is your ipad? if I use it too it wont blow the speaker?

  • Would be nice to have vocal effects in GarageBand then.
