  • Did I hear that right, 12 hours to charge a mobile phone battery.... assuming the wind is blowing all day.. bet the neighbours will appreciate the racket of the turbine chattering away. bet the thieves 'll love it as well, advertising you have a phone .. wonder if it'll still be there when you return to your tent in the evening?

looks like another marketing con that windpower is a credible mechanism to generate electricity

  • I will have to correct you on both points.

The turbine is near silent in operation and the whole point of having the intermediary control box allows it's battery to be recharged over a possible 12 hour period and THEN a phone or whatever can connected and be quickly recharged in as little as an hour

  • Free energy technology exists! But some very powerfull ppl don't want you and me to be free from energy costs,Find a motor that needs no fuel or input at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Start the revolution!

  • when are they going to be availible to buy?

  • So you've never seen when the wind doesn't blow or is blowing to strongly

or never seen a wind farm where there are NO wind turbines not working. I reckon the average is around 30% not working

wind turbines are not a credible source of power generation. they may be ok to top up a mobile phone battery in a tent.. 10..12 hours to generate about 3..5 watts of power. but as a means of generating commercial power they are a joke.. a fop to the green lobby.

    they are also heavily subsudised

  • Wind isn't a credible source of power??? Are you fucking dim or what? It works perfectly well. Thats a low budget turbine, pay a few more quid and you can save quite a bit. The wind blows for free. If you had any sense you'd want to own a wind farm selling your power to the National Grid, then every time God farted you'd be quids in.

  • where can you get one?

  • this thing is badass, I expect they will sell like crazy if the price is low enough. The next big camping gizmo to power all other camping gizmos.
