This is nothing but a bitter rant from some bitter people. Money doesn't make World Champions. ABILITY DOES. Plus, Hamilton come from working calss backgrounds. His dad had to take 4 jobs just to start Lewis' career. Yes, it became easier after McLaren got involved but until then it was very VERY hard for him. As for Button, Hill and Schumacher. Their backing is irrelevent. You still have to outdrive the competition. World champions are not just given to you. Stupid rant by a bitter man
I assume Lewis Hamilton in your title is publicity seeking as there's nothing fraudulent about his working class credentials. There is however about your whinge and that's all it is. one big whinge. If those with the money and influence believe in your talent they'll bankroll it to F1. A big part of being an F1 driver is making it happen and you haven't done that. You're not as good as you think and to put you alongside Hamilton well you're having a laugh pal.
it's not how much money you have it's who you know mark webber great talent did'nt come from supper wealthy family they had money ofcourse being motorsport you need some but he got lucky by having great manager and knowing campesse who gave him $200,000 to finnish his first f3000 championship and was lucky that an australian bought minardi and gave him a go
Obviously if the guy were that good he'd find financial backers. I admit that it does take serious money to race, but it takes a tremendous amount of skill win titles. If he's that good (resume, please?) finding sponsors shouldn't be a problem. He must not be as good as he thinks. The analogy to football is bogus. The father knew very well the costs of competing in motor sports. I wish I could say I feel sorry for the guy, but I can't. Don't see a reason to be.
Nick Molloy- this is the biggest crock I've ever seen. So you're saying that only rich kids get into F1? Take a look at the following list: Paolo Barilla, Prince Bira, Jean Denis Deletraz, Pedro Diniz, Adrian Campos, to name but a few. All F1 drivers from multimillionaire families. You've never heard of them. But then if you look at the following list: Juan Pablo Montoya, Rene Arnoux, Alain Prost, Michael Schumacher, Juan Manuel Fangio, Nigel Mansell, all from ordinary backgrounds.
I would like to see some footage of the races this young man has entered. If he really is as good as the video suggests, I would like to wish him the very best of luck. I hope Nick doesn't lose his house over this.
As for Lewis Hamilton; this was a young man whose dream came true, through a fantastic driving skill, hard work from his family and trying his luck by introducing himself to Ron Dennis. He dipped his net in the pond and pulled out a fish!
F1 IS the pinnacle of motorsport though, and nobody is arguing that anything is a god given right.
The title of this vid implies Hamilton (and every other driver in F1 who's careers were all funded by sponsors, teams or rich parents) is a fraud, yet he began racing in a 2nd hand kart that his dad (who worked 3 jobs) hand painted.
Lewis had won 2 karting championships, 2 MB future champs series, Sky Masters series and the Autosport driver of the year award BEFORE he got Mclarens help.
well money = enslavement so if you don't have much you are not going to far. I would still be go karting if I had the funds.

WTF is this? It's like a charity plea. If he was actually any good, investors/talent scouts would go out on a limb and invest in him.
