Yeah there are a lot of narrow minded people(not saying that creed fans are) who buy into the media's advetisements and just buy albums because they are mainstream.

and were much more talented than any of the rest... they obviously wrote the best material and the catchiest songs... and going from Creed to Alter Bridge i'd have to say Tremonti's career has been astounding and will carry on being so for some years to come yet

It doesn't mean that they are the best.
It just means they sold more albums than other bands.
I myself don't always buy albums, I rarely buy albums from shops.

Saying a band or singer went platinum just means more people are being persuaded by pussy-ass record label companies to listen to the "Good Stuff".

Believe me, whenever I respond to one of these comments, I hit "pause" on the video first. It's a problem when you're led to buy a product when it's only merit is familiarity. Millions of dollars made this generic band accessible and put their songs in your ears. It's a major problem with your instincts to confuse familiarity with quality. There were a thousand bands with this same sound in the late 90s and the only reason the masses jumped onto creed is because they were readily available.
