I noticed I that this song was not on here other than a couple live versions, so here it is. The band Sponge playing the song Molly (16 candles down the drain) from the cd single which is slightly different from the Rotting Pinata album version.

If you're between 27-35 now, the 90's were an excellent decade to grow up in and experience life...after the 2000's, kids will NEVER free the freedom that we've had...no crazy satellite imaging, cell phones were a luxury, gas was between $1-$2, and the economy was opportunistic.

Music is descending at a alarm rate! My son is 11 and he hate today's music. He always tells me he loved the 70's, 80'a and 90's!

Yes I was, The Gas in Houston, TX was $0.78 per gallon, and in San Francisco, CA was $1.05. I remembe because I worked and lived in both Cities at the same time for more than 10 years. Off course, I had the great chance to see most of the bands that became big few years later in very small venues. I saw Sponge in 1993 in a place called NUMBERS. Great decade.

You’re right. MTV was still the decider for these things at the time, and Sponge was part of an era of kinda lightweight grunge pop -- I like this song but a lot of the genre was terrible. Anyway I remember in 1996 the magazines and MTV REALLY began pushing electronica in a big way. Smack Your Bitch Up stuff. Which was also good, but it never had a chance going as mainstream in America as it was in the UK. And next thing you knew, Britney Spears happened. That was essentially it.
