@MrChipboymc They really were no matter what genre the 90s pumped out some good stuff. 96 is my fave year for good albums but punk and ska are my thing.

Our alt rock station is now down the drain. They turned it into an all news station, dammit.
I miss hearing Sponge, Spacehog and more. Nowhere on FM to hear their music anymore.

@fuzzylogic218 Really cool. For some reason I have a soft sport for the mid 90's. 1995 in particular, I'm not sure why really. I love reading the stories from folks from that era, kind of helps put things in perspective. Sponge seemed as though they were on the ascent and then they seemed to vanish into the ether. I know they they continued on but they didn't remain in the spotlight for very long. I really enjoy their sound.

@Mind1973 Glad you appreciated that. Oh and One more thing I remembered about her and I. We had typing class together (with a typewriter no computers) I had the class 1st period and she had that same room in the same seat the last period of the day. Every morning I got a note from her stuffed in between pages 99 and 100. She drew a hearts around the page numbers. I looked forward to that class every day. The Ms. Snuffie reference was to us having the same sesame street shirts of Snuffie.

I was a sophmore in HS in 95, Sponge was gaining speed as a defining band that year. I had a innocent relationship with the coolest and hottest and most popular senior girl in school. Sponge always reminds me the time her and I sat in the back of her car cranking this song and just chillin. That was a great time. Thanks Ms. Snuffie!

This song kicked off a long love relationship that started my senior yr. '95-96. I went on a end-of-summer trip to Key West and had borrowed this CD from her (thought about her the whole trip). She was beautiful and we loved each other for 5 years. We parted over a decade ago but I think about her now and again, and sure hope she's enjoying life and is in love. Peace be with you Christine.

Can we please get back to where the musical renaissance left off? It started in the early 90's and ended there as well! Or can we just get back to bands that actually sing, write, and play their own music instead of the overly produced and manufactured karaoke/American Idol crap of today (aka posers)?
