  • Does it matter which hole you choose to drill through for the 7th opening?

  • sorry I have not replied sooner....I dont think it matters...but was easier on the bottom hole easir access with the drill bit

  • are the 1300's carb'ed only. IE, dont you need a carb jet change to protect engine from running hotter with the mod to the exhaust?

    Ferd

  • Yes, all the 1300's have carbs...I have not rejetted mine, but I plan on doing so when I get a new airbox...so far it is not been a problem, but I need to pull the plugs and check them out...

  • How did you get the original black metal plate on the end to come off?

  • I didn't...I drilled the 7th inner hole through one of the first original 6 that were drilled in the end plate...had to get an extra long drill bit and ended up snapping one in the process.

  • I want to do this to my bike and i was wondering if you ever had to rejet your carb after you drilled the holes? And does your bike do any back firing?
